Anais Anais by Cacharel: launched in 1978, in USA by 1981, the name is pronounced (ah-nd-ees ah-nd-ees). Created by Firmenich perfumers Roger Pellegrino, Robert Gonnon, Paul Leger and Raymond Chaillan and took three years to complete.
The perfume was named after the ancient Persian goddess of love, Anaitis, also this is the name of a butterfly, the Pareronia anais anais.
